What needs replacing on my Goji unit?
With typical use the HEPA filter will need replacing every 6 - 18 months. When cleaning the pre filter (recommended every 2 weeks), just look at the filter; if it is dark grey then it needs replacing, as detailed in the instruction leaflet . After 12 years, or when the removal of odours is becoming less effective, the NCCO reactor will need replacing.
For the V1 product the lithium battery will need replacing eventually, like any rechargeable battery.
Do I need to clean anything on my Goji unit?
The pre filter needs to be inspected, washed and dried every 2 weeks or when clogged up. The body of the appliance and the cable and plug should be kept clean and inspected for damage.
Are Goji Air products environmentally-friendly?
As well as improving your internal environment by removing bacteria, pollen, dust, VOCs and odours (in line with all the current medical advice about the benefits of cleaner air
being beneficial to life and health), Goji Air is products are extremely energy efficient. The NCCO filter will last up to 12 years – far longer than products based on charcoal filters – and it take less energy to manufacture than carbon filters. It is inert when disposed of, as opposed to charcoal filters, which have to be handled with care as they contain
contaminants. With Goji Air products, harmful pollutants are converted to innocuous components. The HEPA can be recycled and will not contain any live bacteria, as these have been killed. Other products, typically, do not kill the bacteria.
Is it noisy?
No. The unit emits a short jingle to let you know that you have switched it on, but the fan, while emitting a very low level ‘whirr’, is discreet and largely unnoticeable. People happily use Goji Air products in bedrooms without it interfering with their sleep.

How does Goji Air work?
- A quiet radial fan pulls air through the appliance with a variety of speed settings depending on user requirements
- Air enters through a Pre Filter which traps hair, fluff and large particles
- Then Ozone is added to the airstream
- The airflow with the added ozone then goes into the HEPA filter
- The Hepa filter filters out solid particles and liquid droplets in the air down to 0.13 micrometres (which is one 400 th of a millimetre). This includes pollen and dust and the solid particles of traffic fumes. It will also remove bacteria and viruses and other contaminants suspended in droplets in the air. The Ozone kills the bacteria
- The airflow then continues to the NCCO reactor. The ozone combines with any Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) (e.g. Formaldehyde, often associated with chipboard or particle board or paint fumes) which are broken down by the NCCO Reactor into harmless substances like carbon dioxide and water vapour
- The cleaned air then exits the Goji Air appliance.
